Winter Park Resort Reviews

I booked ski school for my son through winterparkresort.com, and it was easy, straightforward. Morning check-in was a little hectic because there were a lot of people, but the staff was helpful and got us pointed in the right direction.

His instructor was really nice, and my son came back feeling so much more confident on the easier runs, which was great to see. I’d give it 4 stars just because the price felt a bit high, a bit higher than I expected, but overall it was a good experience.

We stayed at one of the resort lodging spots, it was a letdown for the cost. The room was clean enough, but compared to the photos, it felt a lot smaller and more dated in person. The heat was also frustrating — it kept swinging between too warm and too cold, so it was hard to really get comfortable.
Check-in took longer than expected, and after a full day of driving, dealing with parking was the last thing we wanted. The location was definitely convenient, but when I compare it to other places we’ve stayed for a similar price, this just didn’t stack up. Next time, I’d probably look for something off-site.

I blame myself for assuming the food options would be limited, because we were actually surprised by how many places there were to grab something. We got coffee in the morning, burgers later on, and a beer after skiing without ever having to leave the mountain. Prices were pretty much what you’d expect at a resort, but the food tasted fresh and the lines moved quicker than I thought they would. It was really nice having that many choices right there

I had a good time and felt like it was worth it overall, but it still felt a bit pricey.

The staff were really friendly and helped us quickly, which I appreciated. That said, there were a couple little things that made me feel like I couldn’t totally trust everything was being handled as carefully as it should’ve been. Overall, nice people, but my confidence in the place dipped a bit

Had a really solid day at Winter Park. To be fair, it did look crowded at times, so I was expecting to spend a lot more time waiting around. But the lift lines moved way faster than they seemed like they would. The staff stayed on top of things, scanners were quick, and the lifts ran smoothly for us all day. I’m sure everyone’s experience can depend on timing, but we didn’t hit any major delays, which made the day a lot more enjoyable.

The grooming was a letdown. Snow had icy patches all over the place, and even the groomed runs felt bumpy early in the day — not really what I expected after paying that much. It ended up being a disappointing day.

The whole rental line was a mess. There were way too many steps just to get the gear, and everything moved really slowly. By the time I finally got my boots, they didn’t even fit right. Frustrating experience overall.

Winter Park was such a solid choice for our group. We all ride at different levels, and somehow everyone found runs they felt good on without anyone getting bored. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel confident trying new terrain while still having plenty of fun options you already know you can handle.
The conditions were great too. The groomers were smooth, the trees were really fun, and there was enough variety that we kept exploring all day. it felt like a mountain that sets you up to have a great day no matter your skill level. Easy 5 stars from me...

I mostly only paid attention to the parking and shuttle situation, and that part was easy. Found a spot quickly, the shuttle showed up fast, and getting over to the lifts was simple enough.
